My account of the ZZR vs (250) Ninja
I was going home from work when i see this zzr been riden by a P plater just like me, we seemed similar build so i thought lets so what happens, i past him then slowed down to wait for him to catch, did this once more until he realised i wanted a little race.
It lasted for about 20kms, 10k's on a highway.
In the last few k's i had about a 100metre lead..no chance.

You probably shouldn't admit to breaking the law by such a large margin on a public forum (and draw unwanted attention to us all by extension).
Most of us like to keep a low profile and keep our noses clean so to speak. You might want to do the same in future.
Edit: I see you're in Geraldton. I guess it's not so bad (for us) then.

Maybe the other dude wasn't trying or just sucked. Put a decent rider on the zzr and see what happens.

Different riders, different skill levels, different tyres and different levels of commitment.
The bikes are that close that it will come down to the rider and tyres....

aaahhh dont be like that! we are just busting balls and everyone has to start somewhere
it is cute that you thought that you had done a good performance comparrison with the zzr but i dont think you really have settled the age old arguement of "zzr vs new baby ninja - who is the quickest"

Didn't you read the post? The ZZR had 'no chance'. That sounds pretty settled to me

Just to add to fun...
at WAW i raced a ZZR with a guy that looked a few kgs heavier than me and he beat me by around a sec....
Murley got a faster time than the ZZR (around a 0.5 secs) on his 250r, but he probably weighs about 50kgs + had a pipe on it... (no offence Murley )

Drags....
from what i've seen murley can ride.
0.5 sec lead at the end of the strip is basically down to a better 60 foot time by 0.25 sec on equal bikes.
easily done if you can ride and the other guy hasn't had as much practice.
Hell, i've probably got a good 120 drag passes to my name so far (car + bike) and my 60 foot times still vary by about 0.2 from run to run (yes i suck at it).

Captain Cripple totally deserved it.
He was looking at me all smug from his special parking bay, I figured "I'll show you..."
