Well as some of you know I am new to riding and thus undergoing the 250cc period of fun so I might aswell enjoy it while I can.

I bought myself a brand spankers 2008 Model Kawasaki Ninja 250R which to me was the right combo of price/performance/looks for a first ride as I wanted to buy new.

I really wanted a green one because well its a Kwaka and Kwakas should be green. However there are only red and black ones in Australia so black won.

Now I know what everyone thinks about modding 250s and things like that but, All I can say is its my money and I am the one that has to enjoy it for at least the next 12 months so bite me if you dont like it and go read another thread

.

Hey man, just chop it, replacement fenders are $69... mine's on the way so I just chopped and sanded mine back and it looks good

Targa are releasing a no-chop version IMHO better than the comp werks version. There are definitely no cut oggies around I forgot where I saw them sorrry.

Red rim stripes'll be nice however if you've got any spare cash I'd love to see one with 3 spoke wheels

I've heard the Area P's are loud and they do have a quieter version, otherwise the Yoshi can have two volume settings.

I picked up a tinted screen from Causeway Kawasaki for $115, double bubbles coming soon! The cowl cover is cheapest at Mack 1...

Whats the story with fender eliminators are they illegal or something?? Nice bike, i've got mine on order in red with a c/f yoshi.

You got to have the fender go down to a line drawn from the centre of the rear wheel on a 45 degrees angle...

Assuming you will upgrade to a bigger bike after 1 year, I would suggest you at least KEEP your original fender, and not cut it. Go for a FE if you want to risk yellow stickers/fucking around with getting it re-inspected etc, but keep the original fender so you can put it back on the bike if/when you sell it.

Thats exactly the plan mate.. All the original parts will be boxed and ready to refitted etc..

nice looking bike, but fark what were kawasaki thinking that stock exhaust is hideous haha at least its more incentive to go aftermarket.

With your FE, you may want to consider placing a strip of red reflective tape under the plate. Might incite some compassion/less rage from one of our upstanding pineapple distribution units... Also, you might want to check out here for the all important bling.

Well I took the little machine out on a run today and cut its teeth on some of the fun roads..

Good ride of about 150 kms including some of Perth's fave twisties.. Must say its great fun to ride and throw around and goes alright for a 250..

Saw heaps of other people out hope if it was anyone here you all had fun and stayed safe.
