yea boo about the FE...i wanted it too but 45 degree as the dood above said.
I ordered a 150 rear tyre for it though as i think the tyres are too skinny. Also bought a lower ratio front side gear to give it quicker 0-100 as i dont need a bike that does 200kms an hour. Bike looks sweet. I had a black one on order but changed to red cause it will go faster. |

I toyed with a bigger tyre but I think the rim size will cause it to balloon out of shape and you will lose the benefit of it because it will be out of shape.
Also a 150 more than likely make contact with the chain guard which means you will have to take that off. That means the bike is illegal and you may aswell get a FE ![]() Fair enough with the sprockets I personally dont see the need to change them as the bike goes reasonably well for a 250 and sits pretty high in the rev rage at cruising speed as it is.. |

150 may bow a bit over the side given....but it doesnt hit the guards....i know a few that have done it and they reckon it drives just as well.
I know performace wise its worse as your increasing rotaional mass.....but im 28 and just gettn my 2 fiddy now which is ![]() When my turns up you can take it for a spin and see if you like. |

(hits a wall at 180 but umm... it wasn't me that found that out, honest I think the black one goes 160 cause it's black). I'm going the sprocket mod also.Fozzy I've seen a 250R in an over east forum sporting Bridgestone 090 (140 wide), looks noice! I probably wouldn't go wider - apparently these tyres are better in the wet too...

^^ Good idea! Well I've done 10,600kms on mine now, I wish I could avoid the Freeway but sometimes it's a necessity and the rear tyre is just starting to get a little tiny bit square in the middle due to the long straight stretches, which kinda sucks but isn't affecting the ride/handling yet. Mine came with the BT45s, they feel great but I'll try out the 090's next
Rightio... off to K-Tec to enquire about Sprockets...

depends on the 250...cbr250rr's, zx2r's, fzr's, the lil ninjas, all 4 strokes would do the 1/4 mile in the 13's/14's if your a great rider 15 normally. So a stock wrx/v8 commy would be a good match, although the commodores/falcons etc are a bit quicker these days (later models).
What learner bike you on? 2 strokes prob a bit quicker.

Well I did some more today
Fitted a Eagle Screens Dark tinted standard Screen Nice and easy Removed Front Reflectors Now the Competition Werkes Fender Elim kit... What every one says is almost right. Its a pain to install and takes a fair bit of time to get looking nice apart from that it is pretty straight forward.. Keep in mind if you are thinking of doing this mod you will need to destroy your stock fender so if you get a yellow you will be looking at a new one is is 80 bucks from Kawasaki (as quoted by Causeway). You will also have to modify the eliminator to suit Australian Number plates (involves drilling a hole in the indicator mounts and reversing them). I wouldnt recommend you take the mod on if you cant at least change the oil and filter. I have emailed the manufacturer and advised they do not fit Aussie License plates so hopefully they might make a change. Pics Updated First Post as Usual. Scottie. |
