    My new 2011 GTR250

Hi guys, tried posting a thread about this a week ago when i ordered it but it got locked (may have been post count, not sure) So here's the new thread.

Picked her up yesterday morning from Dale Brittons (thanks guys) Took it for a spin down to Scarborough then back to my place (round 30k's) Still on my 'L's atm so pretty keen to sit my test. (booked for the 25th).

Initially being the first 'sports' bike i've ridden it took me a little to get used to the positioning and a clutch that isn't flogged out haha.

So when i got it home i ripped the terrible stickers they decided to attach to the 2011 model, which has to be the best no price mod i've ever done. So here's a pic i took with my i-phone

    !

btw scariest 10 min i ever had on a bike was when i took my hyo from DB and rode it around the suburb to test out the riding position.

... at least you didn't do what i did - going from the store to home i was heading toward mounts bay road when i came to the roundabout just after the freeway overpass... and the bike stopped for some reason?? gave me a Err message on the display. so i rolled it to the side of the road and went through the manual (thoroughly so as not to look like a dickhead for a minor problem). Couldn't find it out so i called DB up and they said they'd send a guy out with a ute to pick me and my bike up and check it out....

... so the guy rocks up and walks over... looks at the bike for a second... then turns the kill switch back to 'on' and starts the bike....

    FAIL

pps. first and only mod you should do to your bike is get a tinted screen. would look mad on the all black bike. it's also taller than the normal one so you get way less wind in your face.

you can get the 2-tone colors but i wanted an all black one, they still come with the lame sticker decals though haha.

As for mods i wont be doing much to it, maybe a tinted screen and possibly an exhaust later but going to play it by ear.

Haha Not-So-Rad, really bloody glad i didn't do that one! As for getting used to the riding position it took me a little while to!
