    need ninja 250r rearsets

    Hey guys,

I snapped my right rearset today. What should I do? Call up wreckers and pray, or go to a kwaka shop and get stock rearsets? I could imagine stock rearsets would be over 150+ for god knows why. On ebay there are 'blingy' (ugh) rearsets for about $150+ free shipping... But that means I'll be targeted by PSB 250 hate crew.

I can wait 2 weeks for shipping, but at the same time I can't.

It's a bugga that the next couple of days will be absolutely fantastic weather

Call up both and then decide.

Called up a Kwaka shop and he said they're roughly $450-$500.

Any wreckers open on a Saturday?

Ok. If you can't find anything could always try and get it welded as a temperory fix. But would definitely get a replacement as soon as you can.

Called up 2wheel wreckers and maddington wreckers. Mark at Maddington said I could get it welded back together for about 60 bucks. 2wheel wreckers haven't wrecked any ninjas.

I think I might just order the 'blingy' (yuck) pair of rearsets off ebay, they're about $150, and be off the bike for 2 weeks. I just can't justify $400 on rearsets.

Anyone know of where I could get it welded temporarily?

Thanks a lot for the links Andrew.

Contacted both. Left a voice message for the number on the gumtree ad so just sitting tight for now.

Try Find A Part - Wreckers Car Parts, Auto Parts, Motorcycle Parts, Truck Parts - Australia's #1 spare parts locator

Also be aware that anything aftermarket is not going to have the mount for the rear brake light switch. You can get around this by getting a hydraulic switch banjo bolt for around $30. Not hard to fit - PM me if you need to do this and I can assist.

Ahh, well you saved my bacon. Was about to pull the trigger on the ebay jobbies. Haven't heard anything back from anyone though.
I'm just in a position where I can't quite afford a lot. So I'll have to keep looking for something cheap or a wrecked ninja

Why don't you do an emergency fix for now. Drill some holes in both pieces and bolt a solid piece of metal across it.

Kind of like the way they join broken bones with titanium.

The way it snapped I highly doubt that'll be possible unfortunately.

Found a place that has the mount that I need.

It's 80 bucks + 30 for shipping. I think it's from America so it'll take over a week to get here.

Should I fess up the extra 80 for the ebay jobbies + banjo pressure switch thing?

Called up Mack1 in Midland again. They have one last right rear set mount which is great. It's $126 bucks, a bit steep for my liking, but I can pick it up there and then and be back on two wheels.
