I just got mine - made the call yesterday to Bunbury Kawasaki and picked it up this morning and rode it all the way home (with a shadow as I'm still on my L's).
$6990 rideaway, great bike and felt comfortable on it pretty much straight away.

for those guys familiar with the bunbury and rockingham kawasaki stores, whats the range of shoei helmets and alpinestars gear (jackets gloves boots) like? i'm guessing maybe not as diverse as here in perth metro at say mack 1 or causeway?
i'd like to get the bike (ninja 250R) and gear at the same time to save some cash =D
however, realistically i suppose you'd only save maybe 10-20% off just the gear (so maybe $100-$200)?
and you're not obliged to get the bike serviced in bunbury (if you bought it there) to keep the warranty right? it'd suck to drive all the way to bunbury just for a service >.< haha

They did have helmets and the Like.. Not sure if they had Shoei.. Noticed SHARK helmets and a couple of other brands (cant recall names)
Had some Jackets and stuff..
As you say you possibly will only save about 100 bucks..
I would suggest if you are looking at the bike, check out the gear when down there if you dont find what you like get it locally..
Trevor who I dealt with at Country Kawasaki (Bunbury) was super helpful and I would have no hesitations in recommending him to anyone.
And no Any dealer will be able to service the bike..

Rockingham didn't have alot of high end gear, eg Alpinestar and Shoei but they did have nolan and OGK helmets and a few cheaper ones, plus alot of DriRider gear

Gf picks hers up from brittons some time this week, seat cowl and pipe and on the road for $7200 from what she told me, although she has a very good contact within the bike industry here in Perth........
I have to wait 6 more weeks before Im home and get to take it out for a bit of a thrash, while she's at work of course

Done Deal
Finally, I've put my name on the list with Mack1, so will hopefully pick it up mid to end of July. Standard $6,990 incl. on road costs with 10% disc on accessories, but am also picking up a cowl and a fender eliminator, though they won’t fit the fender eliminator for me…..
It seems like they will be bringing in the full range in a few months if anyone is interested in holding out for a Blue or Green one….

Hey guys yer +1 for Kwaka in Bunno, good blokes down there, awesome service, especially after sales.
They have a good selection of Shark helmets, (which i bought last week) and M2R and RJAYS.
Most of their riding gear is DriRider, RJAYS and M2R

Pick mine up 14th July from causeway.....I got about $800 off a Dainese jacket , some Dainese titanium gloves and a yellow shoei rossi copy helmet. Ive been on the wait list since late April. They through in the pillion seat cover but wouldnt give me the bike bellow 7K even when I offered them cash on the spot in full to jump the list or give me a discount.
I bought a yoshi full exhaust and some dynojet jets which ive got already from over seas.
Not sure what this does to the warranty but not sure I care either.

Be interested to know how big a difference the jet kit makes, might fit one up to the gf's bike when she finally gets hers, without her knowing of course

Ive played with a lot of that kind of stuff before....more ECU based mods though with turbo cars.
It will be marginal about 7-8% at best. However with some better breathing (intake) and the full yoshi system it will open it up a but I think about 12-15% increase in torque and HP throughout the curve overall.

Hey mate I paid $6990 on road in march but she sounded like a postie bike so i have since modified her boring persona. Two brothers exhaust a rear hard seat cover and pulled her to the ground a little. Niiiiiceeee. Although I have upgraded I'm looking for a buyer. Love her to bits but power wins. Cheers
