And how would you expect me to be proactive when I'm not sure what I'm looking for? I've searched on here and everything else I've looked for has pretty much been a bust.
Whats wrong with having a repository of information on here?

As an aside, I did find this website which gives some definitions. If/when I get round to it, I'll add them to the OP so its useful for people like myself with no experience.

We used to have two wheels wiki but noone wanted to run it, and it got spammed a lot when it was open like Wikipedia.

Do some research, read some threads, listen to people, ask questions at social events - it makes sense.

As far as the splitting comments go - it is made clear in many threads what the status of splitting is and how it works.

As far as the splitting comments go - you have obviously not read nor searched very well. It is made clear in not uncertain terms what the status of splitting is and how it works.

You will find that you learn the true meaning of actions/words/sayings if they come with some kind of context. Simply being told what they mean has little use unless you're actually out doing it or having a reason to use those actions/words/sayings. You're still stuck in a cage right? You'll never really understand 'splitting' until you get out and learn it for yourself. You referred to it as 'driving' through traffic...

I can appreciate what you were trying to do, but like most things in life you just have to learn it yourself as you go! This forum is good, but no substitute for time on the road or track.

I agree with Huggy, part of the fun is being resourceful and working stuff out for yourself.
Treated in isolation, terms mean nothing, context is everything. Read a term in context - read around it like you might do in a novel and try and work out what it might mean, if not urban dictionary it, ask someone in person/in the thread etc. There's still stuff I look up every now and again.

Only when traffic is stationary. Splitting has been done to death, if you want more info, please use the search function.
