i guess this could give me the motivation to get all my spare fairing bits tidyed up and make a few pieces.
Date and my physical condition dependent.
Its been too long since I've been to the track.

Well either stop being lazy or hook up with a shadow during the week for extra saddle time

After recent events at the track I urge everyone to view a back protector as mandatory.
I know they are another expense, but still.

^ +1 to what Desmogod said
$150-200 for a back protector isn't much, given it could mean the difference between a few weeks in a wheelchair or spending the rest of your life in it.

^^ i wear one on road 99% of the time.
$60-$160 for a back protector, vs a fucked back.
No contest imho.
I don't want to be the person in a wheelchair thinking "if only i spent $150 on a back protector..."
edit:
Not that it will save you 100% of the time. However if its got a 50% (or hell, even 10%) success rate in otherwise spinal damaging crashes, its still worth it.
