    Overseas license, shadowing?

I´ve been asked whether I could shadow someone. I guess I wouldn´t mind, however I have a full license for over ten years but it is a overseas (New Zealand) one which I only have for just over one year as I did the test in Europe and then switched it over to be able to drive company vehicles. May I? And what is expected to do by the shadow anyways?

Expected? Go for a ride. The learner needs to stay within your view at all times (if you get split up, they get reamed, not you).

Taken at the letter of the rules, you can only shadow if you've had the appropriate WA licence for 4 years.

depends on the situation as for keeping a learner in view, ive had a traffic light split and been questioned, well, learner was ahead of me

    but the wa traffic rules?

if i was on an international lic in the state especially this city , hmm shadowing someone could open a can of worms in the right place at the wrong time.

Better not to then. Cheers anyways. Interesting rules though. We have a restriction in the first two years of 34 hp and a certain weight to power ratio. There are actually kits to reduce the power of a Hayabusa and one may drive one, then. Once you got the licence, you may drive off all on your own.
