    Riding through soup!

so the last two days have been really fuckin humid and so I've been wondering if it'd be as enjoyable to ride in as I think, or is it like riding through Soup?

Honestly you don't really feel hot on a motorbike when you're moving.
Even in 40 degree heat, sure you feel 'warm' but not "fark me my titties are sweating"

Christ, riding through the CBD is torture, zero wind and stop start traffic.

Fluids. You lose so much body fluid riding when it's hot, and as Chaderotti said, you don't feel hot or even very sweaty when you're moving, especially in a mesh jacket. Top yourself up before you leave, when you arrive, and for longer trips or hotter days best be stopping for a drink during the trip as well.

Depends on what you ride too. The R1 gets pretty hot and my inner thighs take a heat hammering when the weather really heats up.

Yep - once that engine heats up, unless I'm going over 80 - the back of my calves (Mooooo) are getting scorched by some serious engine heat.

Otherwise, if its cloudy its okay.

Have you got heat wrap around your pipes Mo-Fo? I found that it helps, still slowly cook but its no where near as bad.

The outher day when it was blowing like hell me and a mate took a run down to woroona , at one stage it was a struggel to stay on the road.
So we ramped it up to about three times the speed of death, didnt feal hot, lots of wind to evaporate moisture / sweat.
When we stopped , we where both soaked on out backs, everywhere else dry as.
Drink lots of fluids and play well

I haven't mate, as I also find the heat very nice when I'm riding in cold, wet weather. It's kind of a trade off

On your Triumph? My legs don't get hot at any speed, not that much difference in pipe height, but maybe enough, or fairings keeping air away

I think the fairings stop the cool air circulating across the side of the engine.

Quick question poindexter888 - What kind of fuel economy do you get with your Trident?

devolved - around 6l/100km, or 48mpg. I do tend to ride like Miss Daisy, steady throttle, not a lot of braking, keep the speed on through the bends. You?

I'm riding my Bike, ipso facto it must be enjoyable. What are the alternatives, Public Transport or get a cage licence... ergh I feel repulsed just saying it.

I commute to work - so 60/100 and some filtering up the Mitchell and I'm getting 8.5lt/100 which seems a lot. Do you commute on yours?
