Riding without a shadow... How big is the pineapple?

Will have a GPZ 1000 sitting in my garage within a week. I'm on an R-E with an R class learner permit, R class test is in 2 months. Basically I want to know, If I were to ride the gpz without a shadow (say to deliver it to my house) what i'm up for? Just so I know in advance if I choose to do that.

So I want to hear from people that have been caught recently in the same position. Not keyboard Worriers spouting rants of "the law by the book" ...

I want to know what pineapple the law shafted you with. Preferably offences within the last year.

Its been done to death, but from memory $300 fine, no points, possible court date, no confiscation of vehicle.

Get a shadow, sounds like there's plenty of offers here. Cheaper, one less thing to worry about while riding your new toy home, and if you bin it you won't be up for medical costs ($$$$$$$$$$$$$)
