Have you ever gone to a dealership for a test ride and while the guy is watching you have you stalled the bike?![]()

Performance anxiety. I believe most males suffer from it.
Though have never stalled, I neglected to check that the sold sticker had been removed before riding away![]()
"Nadie cuenta con la inquisición Española."

It's only a problem when you drop it.
In life you only get one lap, might as well make it a good one.
Buy my stuff, everything now half price - http://www.perthstreetbikes.com/foru...woofer-144818/

People often stall bikes they are not used to...
Different clutch take up point, feel, ammount of revs needed to move off without spinning, etc...
When the guy who bought my ZX6R picked up the bike to ride away he stalled it 3 times and looked at me as if something was wrong with the bike.
I was sad to see her go![]()
haha i have thought about this before but has never happened. I have missed 2nd only to rev the tits off a bike with a loud pipe, and I have put a bike in gear with the stand down so it cuts out. So yeah, these things happen im sure they see it all the time![]()
Not a bike, but when i sold my last skyline (standard clutch) the guy that bought it stalled it 6 times just getting out of my driveway and almost fried the starter motor (kept the starter motor on even though the car's engine was already running). Anyway after the 6th time he stalled it, his mate took the drivers seat and drove off without a problem. It was a very sad sight to see someone treat your beloved car like that even though they already paid you for it.
Yup.
Stalled the new blade first time on it.
Compared to the 600, first gear is quite a bit taller (as are all litre bikes)... counter-intuitively, you need more throttle and clutch than the 1000cc tells your head you need to get off the line (stepping up from a 600).
edit:
cages.. haha...
i have a 5 puck sprung ceramic clutch. most people who have a go stall it the first few times... its a bit grabby and on/off...
Was a LOT worse when it was first fitted... grabby as all fuck... stalled it occasionally for about a week until it bedded in a bit...
But, being able to spin the tyres in any gear with it is nice![]()

stuff
Haven't stalled, but I've had a backfire.
Saw a couple of mechanics heads pop around the corner.
Damn that was embarrassing.
as barfridge has said, its only dropping it thats going to cause some concern. Stalling is part and parcel of riding a new bike, for me anyway. Didnt stall the hyo when i picked it up tho.
Nah I managed to not stall it, luckily.
However when Scott and I went to pick the Ninja up last year (Bunbury) they told us the story of the guy who picked one up and wrote it off within 15m of leaving. Could still see the marks from where he mounted the median strip and hit the pole. That didn't do much to calm the nerves!
meh i stall it all the time.
Stalled it the other day when i lane split at some lights. That was closely followed by me quickly turning my bike back on and ducking my head in shame and laughter.
Happens to everyone once and a while.

Can I Be A Mongoose Dog???

I stalled Falcore's Duc the other night. Stalled my mates 600 gixxer as well when I first rode that. Each bike has different friction points etc so just need a couple times to get the hang of it. My bike is so easy off the line I forget other bikes need a few revs and it happens.
never had a problem like all of the above , us old riders must know how to ride properly![]()
I haven't stalled my bike for almost a whole year, but managed to stall my friends dirtbike a couple of weeks ago. I was just not expecting all the low end poke those dirties have at low revs!
