What the? Is this for Real?

So can some one tell me if this is to be released by Yamaha? If so it's gonna be a sweet 250.....

Finally Yamaha has something to beat the Kwaka's Ninja

My thoughts exactly......Betcha it would be close to the $10K mark though.....

Still think I would have spent the moolah if I was getting another 250...

    The R4 250cc?

Looks like somebody has done a photoshop job on an R6, and done it poorly
In life you only get one lap, might as well make it a good one.

But the sticker on the bike says its a yzf?

Yeah, I thought it may have been a photo shop job hence the thread title but it's a big jump from the 125 to the 600 so thought they may have just filled the gap

    Oh well.....

    Hmm.

So, R125 is out and it has shitty little 25mm right way up forks, bicycle tyres and a single non-radial front brake.

People see a pic of an R6 with an R4 badge on it, including twin radial brakes, ~40mm USD forks and 600 size tyres...

    Believe it?

    Fuck no.

That would be a $12,000+ 250 - and would have no market, even if it wasn't a photoshop job.

Yamaha has actually released a 250 (Or will be this year if it's not out yet). But it won't be released in Aus. The R125 was released overseas about 3-4 years ago, so expect the 250 here in about 3 years.

By that time LAMS will probably be nationwide so the market for 250's will shrink...

Pretty much, unless all the current buggering around results in the motorcycle initiative getting shelved... Which I'm hoping won't happen, yet I still wouldn't be surprised...

Would be cool, but i really doubt it would be real. As people have said, they have already released a YZF-R125. Which i suppose is their offering to the <250cc market.

That R4 is only available in Japan. Or everywhere else besides Aus.
Apparently Japan gets all sorts of 250/400cc bikes that we will never even see..
