well they are all 2 cylinders except for the zx2r which is a 4 cylinder and there for it will be quicker, now the other three will be so close that it depends on the riders size/ability

the ZX-R should be able to run a high 13/low 14 down the 1/4 if ridden properly (haven't seen one do it - but in theory... I think cowgirl just cracked 13s on her babyblade, and they're very similar in terms of power/weight).

The 2 cylinder 4 stroke 250s will be struggling for 16s.

Around about 25-30hp is to be expected from a 2 pot, a 4 banger 250 4 stroke should be up around 40-45 ish if its healthy.

ZXR250/ZX2R would have to be my favourite 250. Might even buy one for fun at some stage.

Struggling not so much. Effort required? Yeah.
On the one time I took the bike to the drags, think i managed 15.9, and still got beat by Murley!
(2yo Hyo vs ninja250)

^^ hmm interesting, they're a little quicker than i thought then.

i know other people who have run 16-17 on 250s, must be down to rider weight and technique.

For comparison, RGV250s run 12.9-13.1 or so according to reports I've seen (with a good rider of course - i'll go down and run some high 13s when the track reopens haha)

Pity there was no 4 cylinder 2 stroke 250

Yeah, both of us are fairly light on (im ~70kgs). Would be interested in knowing what difference overall wheel diameter would make. Apparently the tyres on mine are lower profile/smaller diameter than stock.

Yeah Tash/Cowgirl holds the record for 4 stroke 250, think its a 13,86 or something like that but a little known fact is that her CBR being one of the earlier models actually makes a little more than the later ones, Honda lost a couple of horse power somewhere.
Plus she put a lot of time and effort into getting to those sort of times.
The ZX2 should with the same sort of effort result in very similar if not marginally quicker times but its about a bees dick in difference.

^^ just on CBR250RRs... the jap imports are restricted via ignition timing in the ECU module at high rpm.

If yours is a proper aus-spec, it should be making marginally more power.
