    Question Yamaha Virago

hey boys, I'm new to this site and new to riding in general, hence i'm looking at buying a Yamaha Virago. Just one question, can the Virago accomodate bigger blokes (beanpoles), say 6'3''?

yeh, you'll be right, thats not really tall these days

There's always the Hyo they are slightly taller than the normal 250's as they have the 650 frame. I heaps of people your height and taller that have ridden 250's without issue, the Virago will be fine, though limiting in speed and cornering :0

I had the experience of a virago just the other day on K-tec's loaner. I'm 6'0 and found it a touch small, but manageable. Knees were not quite under my chin, but not exactly comfy either. If nothing else, go sit on one and imagine how comfy it would be if you had to sit there like that for an hour without getting up.

Kawasaki VN250 eliminator has a liquid cooled engine as opposed to air cooled and 34ish hp.

I owned a Virago for a year or so. I too liked the look, however I found it to be very "weak". Slow off the mark and on the freeway, 100 kph was a mission for it, not a cruise.
It was comfortable though, just a snail. I'm not a speed freak, but I got tired of it really quickly.

Depending on how old, $3500-5500 would be the range I'd expect to pay to get one in reasonable condition.

I did some lessons on a Virago, I'm a 6" fat bastard and yeah it felt a bit small.

I ended up getting a 2008 Yamaha XVS250, slightly bigger frame.
