ZX 250 4 cylinder looking for advice.

Is there any one out there who owns one of these things? I am trying to find some one who has that can tell me how and where they got there parts from and to see if any one has any parts for it.

Try Car Spare Parts, Auto Parts, Motorcycle Parts, Truck Parts, 4x4 Parts - Australia's #1 spare parts locator | Find, buy & sell new & used parts online

It will connect you with heaps of wreckers that can get you parts - the best bit is they give you a price and you get to choose the best price from all the matches.
I sourced some forks for my ZXR250 that way - prices varied from $300-$700 - took some that cost $350 as they had the least chrome chips from the pictures sent/posted.

Also the Balius (local delivered kwaka) has the same engine - so you can get parts from them.
Finally - Use the search engine on the forum - I have a massive post on this issue that steps you through getting the part numbers for a zxr250 from japan

I had found that parts list from you a while back now Im just trying to find cheap used parts because no one can order the parts that are specific to the bike. But I did not know about that other bike. I am going to be doing a bit of digging in that one now too.

I would love too buy the whole thing. The problem is that I am in georgia usa. So unless you know how to ship it to the us cheaply I dont think I can afford to buy it and ship it here...

I have just given up on trying to find one near me.

If you can get a repair manual for it in English though I am driving my self nuts looking for one.

I found one on line but the wiring is different then mine.

Thats is because you have the A model like mine, the only online manual i could find was for the C model.

If you are just going international for parts, try malaysia i think the have a lot of suppliers that have new parts.

I am not really sure at the moment. My starter switch does not work. So I took it apart and cleaned the controls and checked all of the switches and electronically it is working. I have been jumping the starter to get it running and after it runs for a bit the fuses attached to it get hot... So hot that it melted. So I am trying to see what wires go where in the system so I can see where the short is.

The other problem I am having is after it gets hot and runs for about 5 to 10 minutes it starts to misfire and die and after you sit there for another 10 minutes it will start right up with out a problem. So I am thinking its the coils.

The other problem is my front master cylinder is broken but I just need new insides and am trying to find a complete rebuild kit or an entire new master cylinder

If the fuses are not blowing it may not have a short. If there is a poor connection on a circuit that draws a reasonable amount of current, the poor connection can cause the heat, thus melting the connection.

Repair the connection first, then look further for a short second.

Bad connection not short. Sorry. But that is one of the things that is bothering me. I thought that the wires going to the relay were just for the start button. Which is why I am trying to find the diagram so I can figure out where they go with out having to cut open the entire wiring harness so I can trace the stupid thing.

Before going too deep, a lot of bikes have safety switches in series with the starter switch or even a relay.

Check for a switch on the sidestand and on the clutch lever, also a neutral switch etc.

And keep looking for a diagram

I have checked all the safety switches at the switch and they all work. Kick stand, clutch, run/off switch, I just dont know where they all go to check the rest of the system.

This bike has been a huge puzzle.
