ZXR250C Carby "misc hose with screw stuck in it"

Hi, I've recently stripped my airbox to check on the carbies if they were dirty. All 4 of them looks clean however I found an "extra hose" hanging down with a screw in it?
Im not too sure what this hose does, Can any1 sent me a photo of their carbies and where the hoses are meant to be?

I will post a picture later when I get off work.

Vacuum/suction hose to the airbox? Is the screw sealing the hose off?

Im not 100% sure, my first time stripping it. it was kinda dark at that time as well, seemed to me it was coming from the carbs it self.

I've pulled out the screws, doesnt seem like a fuel hose cos it was dry and no sign of liquid..
Im thinking it might be the vacuum/suction hose but where does the hose suppose to go?

Some bikes have a spare vacuum hose off the carby that you can plug a vacuum gauge into. Of course this will need to be plugged when not in use, hence the screw.
In life you only get one lap, might as well make it a good one.

Yeah jamming a screw/ bolt into a non essential vacuum hose is standard practice. The screw didn't just end up in there, someone has taken the time to make that killer mod, just have blind faith that they had some idea what they were doing, and roll with it.
I used to have a nice sig offering to shadow ppl. Now I have no sig...

All carbs should open and look the same when you open the throttle. Is performance down?

I had mine apart today and there should only be 3 hoses coming from the carbs

    1 fuel in pretty obvious
2 vacuum to the tank petcock or fuel tap comes from the bottom of the carbs
3 Vacum to the top of the air box 2 hoses coming out the top of the carbs with a T piece into 1 into the airbox

    No, mine's a 4 cylinder zxr250c

    Question guys,
I just recently removed my pilot screw, I noticed there's washer, o-ring, and the screw, but I've seen youtube video's and the manual showing a spring in it.
Is the spring really necessary? and in which order should i put it back in? Spring - washer - o ring - screw? or washer - o ring - spring - screw?

Hey guys, does your bike idle well when cold? Mine seems to stall if I dont hold the throttle. After when its warm it seems fine.

I've cleaned the carby, new battery, air filter, spark plugs, even adjusted the pilot screw to 3 turns! and adjusted the idle screw!

If it is what I think it is. It goes washer spring screw. The washer separates the spring from the screw and just keeps tension on the screw so it does not turn on its own
