A message from the Nurses at Shents.

I got this in my inbox this morning, thought I'd share the warm fuzzies.

    Hi Jeff,

I would like to say thankyou very much to everyone on behalf of all the nurses at Shenton Park Spinal Unit for the M.A.D ride yesterday. We had a great time and really enjoyed ourselves although we are all feeling a little sore this morning !!!!! The riders who took us and all of you behind the scenes put themselves out so much for us. Can you please pass our thanks on to everyone and look forward to supporting you all with the forthcoming events, ie, the quiz night etc.

    Thanks,

    Amanda.
I echo the sentiment, it makes me happy to do something nice for the nurses who work so tirelessly. So thanks to everyone who provided a helmet or gear in order to make this happen.

I think we might even have a couple of converts, I know the lady who pillioned with Ice on last year's MAD bike was very impressed.
In life you only get one lap, might as well make it a good one.

Those nurses all go out of their way to help people who are going through possibly the hardest time in their lives.

I am so glad that they enjoyed the ride, but feel that it was the least we could do to say thanks to them on behalf of all the patients they have helped.

These people more often than not go over and above what is required.
Whatever they get payed is not enough !!!

Yes they do a top job also good to hear that where they work hasn't put them off jumping on the back of a bike

At one stage yesterday, one of the nurses did not have a jacket to wear so we decided to arrange for her to do the ride on the back of a Canam Spyder - the look of disappointment on her face was amazing, she really wanted to do the ride on the back of a sportsbike. A knight in shining armor donated his jacket and also his pillion seat.

They were all pretty keen which was good to see, and even better to see their smiles at the end of the ride. Ran into the group of them outside the show and they all seemed pretty bubbly!

He's a good man that one.

Murphy: So what do you think?
Connor: I'm strangely comfortable with it.
