After the sunday at Northam, whilst sipping a few ales in the pub after the pack up, the following video came on fuel tv. It held us speechless for 10mins, and was very hard to keep dry eyes during it. For me, it further reminded me why we support spinal injury research and rehabilitation, because here is a bloke the same age as me, cut down whilst pushing the limits of human achievment. I hope the following touches you in the same way.
MAD Riders, I present Stephen Murray, Former BMX Freestyle champion, now a quadraplegic: Stephen Murray Family Fund

I have a friend in Vic who is now a wheelchair warrior (her words not mine)..
She refuses to let a "little thing" like not being able to walk ever again slow her down.. In the past 15 months since her bike accident the only whinge I have heard from her is how some days its a bit tricky carrying pizza back to the car. I have to admire humans of this calibre..
