Hi guys,
recently bought a HP proliant microserver, up the RAM to 8gig, one of them TV tuner card and installed WHS 2011 on it...

off the bat, I have small little lag every time I try to do something... like click on start, or opening a file in explorer, or changing windows... etc... very random... sort of click, nothing happens, then start to happen as if nothing is wrong, then freeze again in short while... this happens both directly connected or remotely... checked on the performance indicator screen... didnt see a spike in RAM or processing usage (or what ever it is called)

File sharings and transfer, media streaming are top notch though... can't see no lag there..

tried google, but most of the searches comes out as slow laggy file transfers issues which I dont have...

so if anyone can point me somewhere on how to check what is causing the freeze? could an old hard drive cause something like this, as the one I am using now for the OS is from my older PC which is a few years back already... last night did a chkdsk run on it, but have seen the result this morning yet....
