Thinking of buying an Investment property and I've been told that the best thing you can do is go through a notable Property Manager, I'm wondering if anyone on PSB has a property with Blackbourne Property Group or have heard anything about them?

I beleive there is a company called Finbar that sell properties and off the plan as well they have built quite a number of apartment buildings around town
Blackburne Property Group are pretty good, have quite a nice office on Hay Street just as you come off the freeway. Obviously everyone will have their own opinions on them but I've had loans come through from them and they're very pleasant to deal with.

Don't just jump in and buy any property for the sake of it thinking it's the way to financial security. Before even thinking about an investment property, make sure that property is going to work for you. It may turn out that financial securities or other form of investment is better for your situation.
If you do decide on property, you don't need a property management comapny to help you (especially those that hold "information sessions") Do LOTS of research and don't just buy the first thing that comes along. Decide on a few suburbs, then research those. Demographics, recent growth, transport, education, shops etc and go from there.
There's an aweful lot of ways to make money on property and if you're smart about it, you can have a cashflow positive investment from day one with as little as 10% deposit in some cases. Or, you could just sit on a negatively geared property and convince yourself you're making money. True, you are, but not as much as you could.

So as a property manager, I wouldn't recommend them. Dunno about their property sales side, is that blackburne & joyce? I think they had a name change when one of the directors left the company.

My experience with them has been the complete opposite.
Painful to deal with, staff were woeful at simple things like returning messages or even coming halfway to doing their bloody job correctly.
From my experience, I would be amazed if they could somehow organise to get laid in a whorehouse with $400 poking out their top-pocket.
Your mileage may vary.
I work for a property investment company and have helped a couple of members source and structure investment properties through the company I work for.
