    Bonaire Aircon Unit

    Soooo... who knows about these.

    Model is RF110 unit.
    Uses a remote control.

Remote still works but wont power the unit up. The power point it in plugged into is active.

I thought i would have a play. Power is off by the way.

    Heres what I have found.

Not visible signs of anything burnt out.

    Any ideas?

Try and get a circuit, and then start following flow charts or whatever.

They have kill switches for water levels and such-like, maybe just a sensor has died?

You have checked obvious stuff like fuses, yes?

I really wouldn't recommend mucking about with electrickery Killswitch.

But an electrician would use a multimeter and test both sides of the switch, the float switch and the motor (windings and continuity).

I've got a Bonnaire ducted system that has been replaced 3 times in 3 years under warranty for the same problem you're describing. I'm sorry I ever bought it.

Is the unit in Mandurah or beechboro? I am a evap tech and can look at it for you if you wish. Sounds like the CPU however could be a faulty remote. Double check the battery connections on the remote and use new batteries. Even though the remote works they sometimes will not send a signal. Also if that is the current state of the A/C please please service it.Not pretty. PM if you need help

Aim the sender on your remote at your phone camera and operate the remote, you should see it light up as phone cameras pick up infra red. The capacitor in the control box looks like it has bulged also. If it aint the remote call in a tech.

The Bonnair units dont have light senders on them from memory so cant be done

It is in Beechboro If you are able to help let me know

Yeah I have given it a clean so looks a lot better now. Looks like it has never had a service. Previous owners probably wondered why they always got sick. haha

Looks like Im going to need a tech. Am waiting for FireStorm to give me a call but i has probably forgotten or to busy.

I have taken the remote up on the roof and tried it up there with new batterys but still no luck.

    Grrr

na, drain pipe was not connected properly and started leaking at the top elbow, ran down, filled roof and dripped out. Managing agent didn't respond to repeated calls for repair.

    and then all bad.
