What file format are you sending it to them in?

    How are you saving it?

Check your paper size, being stupid and American and Apple, it's probably set to 'letter' or 'legal' or something. Change it to A4, should all be good.

    Or check your margins.
In life you only get one lap, might as well make it a good one.

Always best to save it as a PDF. 1) People can't change your resume before printing or w/e, 2)It's pretty much a picture document, so what you see is what you get, no formatting anomalies (looking at MS Office)

I use a free PDF converter on my XP machine called CutePDF it sits as a printer driver so you just print to it from any application and instant PDF. You have to wade through and refuse heaps of offers of free virus scanning and toolbars before you get the installer.

    +1 for Cute PDF
No amount of genius can overcome a preoccupation to detail.

No need to do that on the iMac... Simply use the option of "Export as PDF" if using TextEdit, or save as a PDF using most other programs.
Depending on what you're wanting to do, you can 'print' to PDF for things as well without the need for installing anything.

Goldmember: I'd be getting something better than TextEdit for your resumé... Its a text editor, sure, but you really want something a bit more advanced for your word processing needs.
OpenOffice for a free alternative to MS Office.

I love all the Mac haters then saying they have to install a separate program to save as PDFs on their windows machines, when macs have natively had PDF format for decades!!!

    This is true.

Macintosh + PDF goes back many thousands of years, and is the reason that dinosaurs became extinct.

My waterbed broke this morning. Oh, I don't have a waterbed. Bugger.
