Does anyone else wake up hallucinating/still dreaming?

About 5 years ago I woke up in an unknown environment, I had no idea where I was and after about 30 seconds of trying to figure it out....I saw a window and climbed out, And after walking about 10 steps I realised I was at home. This one happened a few times.

A couple years after in a different house, I woke up in an unknown environment. I could see 3 or 4 flashing green lights which for some reason convinced me I was on an alien ship (Probably from watching Stargate the night before), I sat on my bed waiting for something to happen and after 2 minutes it started coming to me and realised I was in my room.

Now this week it's started again....Every night this week.
I woke up, Saw and heard someone stealing my laptop and jump out the window (A window that can't be opened). I jumped up out of bed and went to chase them out the window and snapped out of it when I couldn't get out the window.

I've woken up and have seen my blanket/chair/any other object look like many things......Two nights ago I woke up about 4 times.

What's changed since last week that could be causing this? I haven't had a cigarette !
I'm trying to quit smoking again and haven't had one since Sunday.

Can anyone else relate? I'm not getting a whole lot rested on some of these nights

Go to your GP, get a referral to a sleep physician, and get a sleep test.

Are you using nicotine patches or similar? A common side effect is vivid dreams.

I haven't been to medical school, I slept in that day, but definitely sounds like something that you could learn more about with a trip to the sleep clinic

my sisters friend had a thing like this once , ended up climbing out of a 2 story building window and ended up in hospital from the fall.

i used to have a dream a few times a week that id wake up to goto the toilet which was located at the back of the house near the back door that had a veiw over the yard , when i get to the back door id see a tall lanky grey alien moving around slowly and then look up at me and dash behind a tree and dissappear. every time after that dream id wake up needing to goto the toilet. was realy freaky and now i avoid hardcore alien movies lol.

    Medication?

I had two very bizare dream things when I started a new medication once.

First one, I got up to go to the toilet and thought that I could see blood (and lots of it) all over the bathroom floor. My husband eventually got me out of there, with me in a panic and crying and trying frantically not to step in all the "blood"

A few nights later, same thing, got up to go to the toilet and my husband found me there an hour later, refusing to move! Aparrently, I told him that someone had swapped my skin with fake skin and if I moved, it wouldn't hold and everything would fall out! He got me up and back to bed eventually but even for a few days after, I kept feeling my skin and still wasn't entirely convinced!
Needless to say, stopped that medication really quick! Nothing like that has ever happened since, thank god

For the last few years, I have been hearing all sorts of strange voices late at night.

The voices scream at me. They scream at each other. They scream at anyone they can. The voices don't stop. The voices follow me, no matter where I go. They hunt me down, and can sense my presence from a great distance away.

There are angry voices. There are voices that have no direction. There are voices that need to be silenced. But they all keep making endless noises.

It's always different voices; never the same one each time. But, they have the same attitude. The same temperament. Some voices go on for only a few minutes and others go longer.

I wish that the voices would shut up. I wish that the voices could hear the shit that they are speaking. The voices yell abuse at other voices, as well as at me.

Some of the voices are actually quite tolerable, but a lot aren't. I wish that the intolerable ones would go quiet, instead of compulsively seeking to inflict themselves on others.

Sometimes a voice will get to me. There will be a voice that really, really, really needs to be shut down. A voice that spews such anger, such distemper, such infuriation and such impatience. Many voices do not deserve to even have a voice.

I wish that I could lash out at the voices. Tell them to be silent. But, I have to keep my composure.

I know that when I hear one of the bad voices then it will eventually go away. I just have to focus on what is in front of me and serve my time. Be patient.

Sometimes when a voice moves on it does what it can to be remembered. It will say something violent or evil as a parting shot.

There will be peace for a short while. Until the next voice comes along.

But hey, if you're going to drive a taxi in Northbridge then you have to deal with it. Which I do.

Still wish I could taser half most of the fuckers though….

My waterbed broke this morning. Oh, I don't have a waterbed. Bugger.
