DWTK: 4x4 Clutch places in Perth

Hi all... I'm typing this from Lancelin whilst all my mates are out on quads & dirtbikes. I'm sitting here cos the clutch on my '91 2.8TD rodeo is FAAAARKED! So 2-parter question: does anyone wanna earn some extra cash by replacing my clutch or can anyone recommend the best & most cost effective place to get it done? (My ute is a shitbox - I don't wanna spend thousands on it getting it done) Cheers :-)

Deano, not good and I feel your pain. My 98 Hilux TD recently did a clutch and I was undecided on whether i should spend money on a pig that has done 320,000 k's. I eventually had it fixed for $800.00 after a quick ring around for quotes. Anything under $1k would be a good price for you. Good Luck

Trentech in Joondalup (Winton Rd). I had quotes ranging from $800 through to $1500. The boys at Trentech do all the work on the company vehicles and always do a good job.

Can do it yourself if you have a service manual, a day, and access to a transmission jack (or 4 mates to lift it by hand- two in the cab two underneath while you bolt it up).

Heavy duty clutch about $400 from parts shop.

Got it done in Belmont. The quote was comparable to all others; what they didn't tell me is that the quote was exGST. Ended up needing clutch kit, master cylinder, flywheel machining and rear main seal, cost me a little upwards of $1k. ($980ex, $60 more than what they quoted me for the seal & work involved). My ute's had a colourful history; hopefully with this it can be continued!
