    Euro Zone Debt Problem

Reading advice of independent analysts tells me this is a pretty serious issue. It's got the potential to cause recession and bank defaults all over the place and will take years to solve. I think many Aussies live in fantasy land if they think things will be sweet here because we just keep flogging our iron ore, coal and gas to China.

Are we going to be queuing in the bread lines next year?

The Eurozone can neither afford to pay all their debt, nor can they afford to hard default and pay nothing. The solution is the banks not getting all their money back, though this not true as they have been getting vast amounts of interest. Each countries debt level has to be bought back to a manageable level. This seems the only sensible option. There then needs to be regulations to not allow it to happen again.

No, we won't be in the bread lines in Australia, though Europe will be a different kettle of fish.

Wonder if things get quite tight , as it seems to be looking so , how many motorcycle companies can afford to ride this one out. Was chatting to a collector today and he said the prices of bikes in Europe for collector and rare bikes has already plummeted.

If that is the case , you could be reasonably confident that manufacturers would feel the pinch. Not necessarily Euro/wog brands as the falling Euro could send retail prices way down , but the Yen may strengthen even more and with little or no real developement out of japan over the last few years, some could may definitely feel the pain.

On the bright side , if you are in the market , there could be a few real opportunities to buy cheap [maybe VERY ] for the future.
