Experience with 5.8 GHZ Wireles Audio/Video Sender

As the title says, have any of the PSB folk had experience with a 5.8 GHZ Wireles Audio/Video Sender?

Looking at something like this to send a signal to a TV out the back (approx. 30m away, 2 brick walls between).

Yes, but mine always seemed to have interference especially from the microwave . In the end we ran cable but as a temporary measure, it was passable. That being said I can't be sure it was 5.8GHz but think so.
Remember half the cagers out there are below average drivers...

I think you missed an important part of the description on the Ebay page - it talks about Line of Sight - which you'd need if you're using IR. In other words, your 2 brick walls might cause some issues.

Didn't check the link out(I don't have any experience with them), but I just send my signal to my TV using my internet modem router. You can buy another router, plug it into the TV out the back and set it up to talk to the other router. Sevres two purposes then, firstly for AV, secondly as a wireless access point and a strong connection wherever you are in the house.
Recently did this for a recording studio, and it had 5 walls between both routers.

The IR is for the remote to operate at the outdoor receiver (no line of sight to transmitting box required). Line of sight radio frequency for AV is apparently 120m, not sure how it'll go through walls.

I'll look in to that. I don't think I'll be able to use the Foxtel box remote using the routers.
