    Fighting Fit Bush Bootcamp 09

Registrations are being taken now for the End of Year Fighting Fit Bush Bootcamp.

More than 20 PSBers have been actively and successfully working out to Lolly’s Fighting Fit Rounds twice a week for the past 4 months. Now it is time to test not just the body, but the fighting spirit as well and end the year on a Fighting Fit ‘high’.

With more than 20 years experience holding physically demanding martial arts camps and outdoor adventures, Lolly and I are excited to host this intensive weekend bush bootcamp.

Date: Weekend Saturday 28th and Sunday 29th November 09
Meet: 8.00am Saturday 28th Bayswater Martial Arts and Yoga Centre before departing for Toodyay
Accommodation: Camping in tents (BYO or organize to share), Toodyay (2 onsite caravans and 2 chalets are also available but at extra cost – let me know if you are interested as we have been offered a special deal on all accommodation options)
    Cost: $145pp

What will the Fighting Fit Bush Bootcamp entail? Well apart from accommodation, great food including a fully cooked brekkie, morning and arvo teas, healthy lunch and seafood and chicken dinner you will:

    - Learn grace and control through Tai-chi and Tai-ga
    - Develop body awareness and stretch out to Yoga
    - Toughen up with Fighting Fit rounds
    - Learn to defend yourself with essential Self Defence techniques
    - Gain a better understanding of your body from a Sports Science perspective with nutrition, health and fitness seminars
    - Become at one with the environment with bushcraft and survival skills training along with lots of hiking

There is nothing like this on offer in WA. No previous experience required and all fitness levels catered for. So register if you are ‘99% likely in’ and see just what you are really capable of achieving. Numbers limited to approx 20.

Will it be hot, smelly, dirty, sweaty, exhausting and painful?

+1 to what Cam said. I snore quite heavily, so not sleeping near people is better for my health (ie. nobody murders me in my sleep)

Actually, scrap that, I'll be running the gate for the Aussie Supermoto Round, so I can't make it

The on site caravan is $55 more - but it has two double beds in it so you could share it with someone else and split the cost. Its very nice and spacious actually and is located near the communal shower/toilet facilities.

The Chalet is $100 more and has a queen size bed and a fold out double sofa bed and a single mattress. This has its own bathroom facilities.

Just for info, we have also organised for everyone to be able to have an extra shower on the Sunday before heading back to Perth.

This sounds so awesome - hopefully in!

I love the camping idea, my only concern is the potential heat at that time of year. My pasty Scottish body copes wonderfully with drink, drugs, and debauchery, but when the temp hits 27 I start to melt and look for the nearest air-conditioned hostelry. I know that I really find it horribly unpleasant to be physically active in any sort of heat, so would it be a good idea for me?

The meals and info sessions will be in aircon comfort and we have the program such that the tough stuff is early or later in the evening. We have also been scouting out other shaded training areas.

Given how late Spring has taken to arrive hopefully it will be relatively cool. Then again, by then it might be blistering hot. We'll be doing it regardless and just modifying things to ensure we can get 100% performance out of everyone participating.

You will need sunscreen, hat and a few other odds and sods which we will list closer to the time.

    Awesome news Tamika!
