Sooo, the expo kicks off tomorrow. Anybody heading down for a look? I missed last years but hear it was a bit of a let down.

Every one of these I've been to in Perth hasn't been worth the effort.

Nah its not worth it at all imo.
Went last year, tried to sneak into the LAN area where everyone had the computers to play CS.
didnt go so good.
So we whored up one of the booths that had BF2 playing in it.

Yeah I think i'll give it a miss. Shame though, it'd be good to have a decent expo in Perth.

I remember my old man taking me to the old computer expos at the Dome back in the late 80's awesome stuff... Tandy 1000s AT/XT machines WOW!!
I went to ther telecoms/pc trade show a couple of years back and all I got was a demo of Vista. Says it all really.

it was free, it was ok for free. If you don't go to these things because they're crap they'll never get any better.

They need better publishers or representatives or something. Get Nintendo Australia to come show case their new games. Or get someone from Sony or EA to do a speech. This Expo is bullshit, its an embarrassment to all gamers in Australia.

Whoever was their web co-ordinator was very average to say the least I went to have a look at the website to see what was going to be there, and on the floorplan they had "comming soon" and that was Friday the day it started, piss poor management lead to piss poor performance...
If they could atleast have gotten that right I might have found something that would have encouraged me to go, just on the off chance it would be okay, but to not even make the primary marketting tool up to date showed really poor form, after all it was an expo for geeks, they could at least try and get it right for their target audience.
