How much u looking to spend?

Best bang for buck without "hacking" are the 9600XT radeons, the 9800Pro or better yet 9800XT are the top dogs.

Nvidia have had a few probs with preformance recently so I wouldn't bother at the moment.
    Will you insure me?!

um i got a 9800xt and it still can't handle it that well.
I am starting to suspect that the ide hdd can't handle it and not the graffix card. i need to get a sata drive and maybe then the game will play better.

    What cpu have you got?
    what ram?
    what speed ram?

    what drivers?

A 9800xt is best performing card currently on market.
But to feed such a beasty gfx card you need a beasty cpu and fast ram.
    Will you insure me?!

I got an AMD xp2500 overclocked to 3200 speed. I have 2*256 ddr pc3200 ram running in dual channel mode. I have an Audigy sound card.
I have onboard lan. I have a powercolour radeon 9800XT with the latest drivers.
I have a K7N delta 2 msi motherboard. with all the drivers installed. when the game stutuers the only thing i can rule out is that the hard drive led is flashing big time. it doesn't stuter that much, only when i have like all these monsters there. I have it running at like 1024x768 with everything on full by the way
I need to get a SATA hdd and it should sort it out.

If your gona get SATA get a couple drives and run them in RAID 0 that orta speed up a few issues specialy slow loading times

Nick.. I think he means running at an XP 3200 speed.. because as you know AMD name their chips based on ROUGHLY how they perform next to pentiums.
Right now Im having amnesia and deja vu at the same time. I think Ive forgotten this before.

Farcry is notorious for needing large amounts of memory. To whoever had the beasty machine that noticed their HDD flashing all the time, the game is running out of useable memory. Upgrade to a gig and apparently it should be alot better.

I haven't got it yet though, just repeating what I've heard elsewhere.
