Indoor Soccer

Hi guys.

I want to start doing some social indoor soccer, but I am having trouble finding something close by. So I looked into hiring the court at Hartfield Recreation Centre Forrestfield. It will cost $7.50 / person to hire the full court for 2 hours and it is available from 7:45 - 9:45pm every Thursday. They have goals and the green indoor soccer balls, so all we need to do is get some people together and have a kick.

I already have 4 people interested, including me, and I also plan on advertising at the centre.

Who here would be keen for something like this?

i'd be keen but it's a little off for me too..would similarly prefer somewhere near the city..i'll mirks and see how things go i guess..

used to play at lords in subiaco..can't rmb the prices for court hire off hand tho..

Is anyone keen on playing at UWA on a wed/thurs night? I hear some teams there get pretty serious but it's mostly social.

I'm keen for this Terminal, I can probably get a few more people around the area interested too.

Got the opposite issue with the other posters so far - living in Kalamunda I don't want to travel into the CBD area again at night.

Mark me down. What's the average demographic of the other people in so far? Also mixed or guys only?

haha..i actually don't mind playing both at uwa with com keen or at at forrestfield with terminal at the same time..kinda need the work out ..

Yeah mixed will be good. My missus plans on coming along every third week too

Just letting you know, I am a definite, I have one more maybe for tomorrow, and then another definite if it becomes a weekly thing (but they are unavailable this week due to business trip).

The UWA league closed entries a fortnight ago... it runs on a semester basis. Each semester has outdoor 5s. Sometimes they do it over summer for men, they always do it for mixed (indoor) though. I've been playing there for five years now (both semesters and over summer), it's good, but the refereeing standard is fucking terrible. The standard of teams ranges from complete kick and giggle to as serious as cancer although most teams have a couple of players who can play a bit.

It's not too badly priced though when compared to Lords/Loftus and the regulations and the like are very relaxed.

this sounds good , i was thinking of joining footy but dont think i would be able to keep up from a previous injury. i might come up tomorrow and check it out if i can find a pair of runners to wear.
