No link to the MS security bulletin in the article?
Can't find anything pertaining to it on the MS site either, still looking.
EDIT: My last security bulletin is from the 9th.
Trust me, I'd like to see MS fail yet again, but I can't find anything pertaining to this. And no supporting documentation really is bad journalism.

Here's something: Video - Breaking News Videos from CNN.com
"Once you can have people more frightened of disorder than tyranny, it enables you to do almost anything you like so far as legislation is concerned." Chief Judge Antoinette Kennedy, 26/3/2010.
"The State must declare the child to be the most precious treasure of the people. As long as the government is perceived as working for the benefit of the children, the people will happily endure almost any curtailment of liberty and almost any deprivation." Adolph Hitler, Mein Kampf
looks like it only affects sites employing active x, just turn it off/use firefox till they get off their anus
PSB - It doesn't matter how right you are. If you aren't in with the crowd who thinks they are the in crowd because they post a lot, then you are wrong.

So I need to disable IE on my 300+ nodes?
No worries....
Buffer exploits have been around for years and years and years. So what else is new ? Can anybody say "OLD NEWS" ?
It always makes me laugh looking at the list of security exploits on the technet site.
Security aside, The JavaScript engine is piss poor. Firefox wipes the floor with IE (and even that isn't as "fast" as you can get)
pah get back to me when you can block flash/scripts/ads on a page by page basis...
Saw a report on this on Channel 9 just now.
You know what their advice was?
"Do not turn on your computer"
They were saying the moment you turn on the computer you are at risk from hackers to get all of your bank details.
Scare mongering much?
FFS, tell people how to install FF or Opera or Chrome or whatever.
Interesting that they didn't suggest just using any other engine but Explorer as other posters have sensibly suggested.
Friends are like potatoes, if you eat them they die.
