Internet Explorer problems

Hi all,

When I start up my computer and I open IE the home page opens no problems. I then go and type an address into the address bar or click on one of my favourites etc and IE freezes for about 5 seconds (if I open task manager at this time it says IE is not responding), then refreshes home page and then opens the website I want. This only happens the first time I open the window, after I have been to one website it wont freeze again.

Could this be possibly caused by a tracking program or something similar? If yes how do I find the program and get rid of it?

Any help would be great.
