I will bite. Recently bought a Merida MATTS framed jobbie with hydraulic discs. Hardtail and modest forks (I am aging, but trying). I wonder when the pushies will go the USD forks (for shear wank value)..

    ^lol

nah USD forks are too heavy and harder to mantain. If you want you can go for a lefty single fork set up. They are light and look pretty trick though the price is high.

I must admit with all the ensuing "i bought the winning ticket" jokes, i was expecting to see pics of the mad bike.

Very pleasantly surprised. Looks the goods. Whats the main use of it going to be?

I bought a new pushie recently, an Orbea Sherpa. Looks like this

I've started cycling to work most days and on most weekends, weather depending, I'll cycle Perth to Freo. In the last year I've dropped over 10Kgs and I credit a large portion of that to cycling.

I also like the Giant bicycles. They always seem good bikes for the prices. I have the Talon fitted with Specialised Armadillos. It's a surprisingly quick bike to ride with the city tyres and way more comfy than my Bianchi single-speed. I'm toying with the idea of changing the rear cluster to something a little closer and higher as I rarely ride off road.

I'm currently riding the Bianchi every day as my front bearings died in the Giant. I wish I could find my cone spanners.
    Please, call me Flash...
