joomla superfish (suckerfish) help please?

Hi.

Anyone had any experience customising a superfish/suckerfish menu?

I have almost completed our website, but having a bit of difficulty getting a decent looking horizonal menu working correctly.

Using joomla 1.5
The menu that came with the template didnt seem to handle submenus well and was screwed up in most versions of IE.

So I found what appeared to be the highest recommended/rated menu module which was based on the suckerfish menu. (Module is called superfish)

I have the menu operating, but I am having trouble with the CSS and customising colours for starters! (first time dealing with websites and CSS and learning as I go!).

Anyone able to take a quick look and see where I might be going wrong?

I can change some colours, (mainly the menu shadows) but not the actual menu options or the backgrounds.

So close, yet so far!

(cant find any help in the superfish forums... I think I need a better understanding of CSS to start with)

i've worked closely with the superfish drop down menu system many times, is it specifically colouring issues you're having?
