Have just been given a copy of Ghost Rider

popped it into the DVD and would not play... well played by superfast

popped it into the puter no go

files within are DAT and AVI

tried changing file format but nothing

Whats the crack with this???

i use a program called Slyfox any DVD (runs in the background of the of the DVD viewer thingy) on the puter, it sorts out all that region code rubish. this wont help you on the dvd player but (you may need to google the crack for anydvd)

also gets rid of the same issues when copying dvd's (i think) as my "backups" always play everywhere. (clone DVD)


you could try to recopy and record a new "backup" if you have a dvd burner.

1. ^WHS^, your player need to play AVI (DivX, XVid etc)
2. Simply changing the extension doesn't help. MPG, VOB and AVI are different beasts and need to be converted.
3. Use gspot to 'see' the codecs needed to play the file and download the right one (or download a codec pack)
4. Update your review web page, 'cause unless you're reviewing it, you're in trouble!

hahahaha change the .DAT files to .MPEG and that should play them.

VCD movies use DAT files which are just mpegs
