Not coming together properly..
So tried to get it going under WINE on my netbook...
Nope.
Building up a couple of VM's (XP, 2000 and 98) to see if they work, especially now that I'm going to be away all week for work...

Asked the question over in the COD7 thread already.. but what's the general opinion of Black Ops multiplayer?

I've not started the game up at all yet, but does the current gaming crowd have enough love for the game for me to look at a dedicated ranked server for us?

I'm really enjoying MP at the moment, some very cool maps.

I would play on a COD7 PSB server that is for sure. I think the new maps are all pretty good.. have only played TDM and FFA so far so not sure about the other game types. Since the patch it has been quite playable.

I've registered for a notification email once they have more capacity for some AU servers. Will see what comes of it.

Hey Bags, I just asked this over on the CoD7 thread but you will prolly know:

Do you know what benefits come with owning a server? Obviously if you have a dedicated spot for yourself and it's full it will kick a random so you can take their place but are you able to call vote kicks of players? Are you able to choose what team so you can keep your friends/clan playing together?

Also the site I'm looking at has an extra charge for voice servers (teamspeak, ventrillo, mumble or teamspeak3) is this something I will need or will the in game chat still work fine?

Yeah you can have up to five password slots I think. Vote kicks not that I know of.
You can change the rotation and have the maps and gametypes that you want.
Can't do much with the mod tools at the moment but hopefully that will change.
Can't choose sides either.
We use teamspeak 3 and is really good but I don't do the setup for that.

Wow, only five password slots. I have a group as big as 8 ppl that play regularly so even then it wont work for us .

Only it still seems to be available in Aus. It's pretty, the combat is challenging while avoiding the hateful rapeage of the Gothic series, and it's exactly the RPG I was looking for (until it got banned).

Been playing a fit bit of FO I know that is so last week but be kind to me.

I really dont see how it is any different to F03, Im not saying thats a bad thing as I like both but the whole game seems to be a direct continueation with no improvements as far as I can see.


So has anyone found anything cool in this game secrets or anything? Special places? I was trying to find the bomber in the lake but no success so far.

If you have the wild wastelands perk (or whatever that's called) you'll see a lot of crazy shit. Otherwise it's very random.

Bulletstorm looks like some fun. Completely over the top but any game that has the quote "Son of a dick!" in the advertisement has me sold.
