If they say your hacking and your not, that is a huge compliment dude.
In COD4, using the G3 in HC mode with the penetration perk, can pull off some crazy shots that look like Bullshit in the replay. For instance...
A guy is crouched next to window, looks through window and I see the movement from other side of map. I shoot where I think he must be crouching (this is good in 'Bog' when shooting people in the bus). Often get kills like this, often get called a hacker.
Come play INT15 sometime, I'm Argon.
Agree with Browncow, mouse doesn't make much of a difference. I use a shitty stock HP mouse, never had an issue with it.
Oh, and Browncow, the percentage of luck seems to be directly proportional to the percentage of beer you drink...
No Beer -> Luck = 4%
1 > Beers > 6 -> Luck = 30%
> 6 beers - > Luck = -15%

That's a bit of a hard one to call.Ping, yeah, super mouse and mat, not a chance.
At the end of the day, your skill is 95%, luck is another 4%, and what mouse you use is that final 1% IMO.
Use what you're most used to, whether it's a gaming mouse or not, and you'll have the best results.
I've seen people do half decent with touchpads, but more often than not, their victories come from avoiding conflict and going for objectives as cannon fodder rather than performing optimally with the input device.
If the mouse you're using feels natural, has accuracy such that you can't imagine better and is comfortable to use, then your muscle memory with a more expensive mouse isn't set to improve much.
A lot of the gaming mice on the market right now are also varying levels of suck, regardless of price point or technology. My personal example of this would be the lachesis. I've hated it worse than cheap mice over the long term.
If the mouse you're using sticks, has poor tracking, is uncomfortable, has buttons that are hard to reach or is just the wrong sensitivity for your style of play (and calibrating this involves significant loss of accuracy), changing mice can have a massive and immediate impact on gameplay. Going from a palm mouse to a finger mouse in a twitch shooter, despite the loss of initial comfort and need to relearn muscle memory to use the mouse, has also been an optimal choice for people I know who've made the leap, myself included.
I play ETQW and I'm certain there are a few botters on there. Or at the very least using a radar hack.
Here is what I dont understand about sniping.
Using the scope I am at a non-moving target's head. Dont move the mouse, press fire and it misses.
WTF are you supposed to do? If it was a moving target I could understand, but a stationery target?
I bought PS2 games at EB today.
Mercenaries 1 & 2 and X-Men Legends or somesuch.
Total paid: $34.
Having played about 600 hours of BF2 I can say I've experienced exceptional sharpshooters (all kudos to them) and then theres also the Haxxors (who can fuck up and die for all I care)...
I've hunted and been hunted and it's a great bit of sport, but the jerkoffs who are using the Hax... well they do stand out... and then there's a lot of satisfaction when you kill them back... repeatedly.

I had over 300 hours on BF2, and without blowing my own trumpet, I was a fantastic sniper, I spent about 200 of those 300 odd hours sniping and by the end it showed. My favourite BF2 memory was pinning 10 people down in one base (just me sniping them) to the extent that their commander had to use artillery on me just to let them escape. Damn computer screwing up and me being stuck on cod 4 for xbox, I miss BF2.

Just played the most awesome game of L4D VS mode. The server decided to get abit buggy and added 4 addition bots to both teams which ended up being able to be player used so the game turned into an 8v8. There were special items given out to help the human players too. Was a very insane game with so many especially when a tank appeared in a tiny enclosed space.

I loved BF2. In the end it was the guys that hacked it and took all the fun out of the game that killed it for me.
I miss it, though. Awesome, simple game.

In an interview with the New Scientist magazine marking his birthday, Stephen Hawking was asked what he thought about most during the day, and replied: "Women. They are a complete mystery."

Has anybody played the latest Wolfenstein yet?
I'm rather cautious about throwing down $80-90 for a game these days, but I am rarely let down by ID.
Wolfenstein.. got it today... played it a bit... not overly impressed... lacking the feel of the previous games, and with everything set high it still seems OLD graphically...
