I picked up COD:MW2 today...



I like it.

ive played an hour so of mw2. its just another shooter, its certainly not some kinda breakthrough like everyone seemed to think it was but i never understood all the hype.

just finished MW2. i liked it, played like a movie rather than a game, had some excellent cut-scenes and "in" scenes.

It played out like a matthew reilly novel.
Just when you think they can't kick it up a notch.... BAM.

I'd reccommend it if you like that kind of craziness.

Not overly impressed with the way the online servers are presented, in that i like to go in and choose a server, and rather MW2 chooses the next avaialble and the lowest speed avaialble, whereas if i go on and see only high ping servers then i don't join in.

This method allows no choice etc...

And it's a pain being dumped into a server that turns out to be high ping and dying before you can get a shot off...

Wife got me Forza 3 and the wireless steering pack for our anniversary. Spent a few hours last night playing. I'm having a ball, the wheel is heaps better than the controller. Now to see if I can mod it to work like a bike

When it comes to MW2 I think I'll be voting with my dollars. This will be the first (IW) CoD game I don't actually buy.

I'll be supporting developers and publishers who support the gaming community. I'm afraid Infinity Ward are no longer one of those developers.

I know it won't make a difference with MW2 already breaking records with their pre-orders alone but until we as consumers make a stand, the ass rapage will continue.

Each to their own I guess, this is what I particularly dislike about the MW CODs - it's too much a case of

Routine mission -> Escalates into terrorist plot -> Escalates into nuclear armageddon which you narrowly avert.

Much preferred COD5 over COD4, being based on real events and battles helps the immersion. Won't be buying COD6.

Anyway screw COD. L4D2 out tomorrow. Censorship can be completely bypassed in any number of ways, easiest is to just buy the game through the UK steam store (google it, very simple to do) or if not change one character of one file.

The demo is extremely impressive, at first I didn't think it was all that great but was playing with bots as I was accidentally running a dedicated server all the time. Played with some friends and can confidently say it surpasses the original in every aspect. The damage modelling is just phenomenal and far from being a gimmick really enhances the game.

has any body else got a copy of the old road rash game on ps2 i loved that game to bits, I'd rush home after school and start it up to see fi i could still nock people off their bike and stay away from the cops

I can't see L4D2 being much better than the first, I mean sure it was fun.....for about 30 minutes untill it got repetitive and boring. I don't think a few extra weapons,maps and zombies are going to improve it a hell of a lot.

Agreed. I LIKE L4D, don't get me wrong, but after about 3-4 sessions playing it, I got bored and never played it again, co-op or single player. Once the novelty wears off there's really fuck all reason to keep playing.

Pffft Road Rash on the Mega Drive FTW. Many wasted weekends spent on that one
