Lost my old Desire HD on a mountain.
Just bought an Incredible S so we'll see how that goes. Was tempted by the SGS2 and the Nexus, but decided that for $250, I was better off getting this and saving the bank balance...

I'm considering a 3500mAh battery (up from 1450mAh) and a 32GB SD card to chuck my music on. Then I can board without taking my iPod which dislikes the cold and the bumps and also hook it up to some BT speakers in my lid...

In other news, my tablet is still coping well. Have had a couple of force closes from MX Video Player; has anyone else got a good video app that handles a variety of formats and has a folder tree navigation structure?

I would like to keep trying it....but it doesn't do full sites, so I'll have to wait til that gets implemented (I assume it will!)

    has anyone here used Invoices2go?

I'm quite interested in whether I can make use of it to replace my current paper triplicate invoice book. Also interested to see if it could save time.

Rockplayer Lite seems pretty robust on the tablet. I use it more than MX (which has better touch controls... but how often to you fondle a movie? No answer required...)

I have to confess I like the HTC implementations of Android, skins and widgets. I went for the HD over the SGII due to build quality and ease of interface, and happy so far.

Probably posted long ago, but Speaktoit is becoming surprisingly useful.

    I quite liked my DHD.
I just decided to save myself a little extra beer money and go the Incredible S over a direct replacement.

We'll see whether that was a smart decision or not...

If the battery lasts longer than a DHD's 4 minutes, then you've done well.

I quite like my hd as well, but the battery is abysmal.

    Yep.

Having said that, if you don't use the thing constantly like we do it's not too bad.
Because I was using wifi only and the phone wasn't constantly searching for a 3G data connection, I was often seeing 36hours out of the battery...

I still get 2 days out of the Galaxy Nexus using it about as much as I used the DesireHD which only gave me one. I think later this year when phone cpus shrink to 28nm gates we will see a significant improvement in battery life.
Is such a thing even possible?

Battery on this is a lot better than the DHD.
Might be the single core CPU (I think) or a less power hungry display, but after using it for 12 hours it was hardly depleted.

So far I like the new phone.

I use MyRemote to remote control Windows PCs over WiFi, very nifty. It has an MCE style remote interface & also a trackpad function. It only works if both devices are in the same subnet though.
I ride my pushbike off cliffs for fun www.hucktoflat.com

The correct number of bikes to own = N + 1, where N is the current number of bikes you own.

Could not find the one he was talking about either, but I use Splashtop to control my PC.
I also use it to stream video to watch on my phone or tablet when in bed.

What does everyone think of juice defender? I have been. Running it for a few days and some days it makes a huge difference; today it seems as per usual...?
