    Anyone go to or recently been to Melville Rec centre gym or goodlife health club in melville plaza.

    I'm moving in december to Bicton and these 2 are really close to where i'll be living and just wanted to see what the facilities and crowds are like.

    Alternatively does anyone know any other gyms around the area that are good. The two i've mentioned are pretty pricey around 850-900 a year.

    Part of Curtin's reason for banning Vibrams is the "increased risk of tripping over when toes are exposed". I shit you not. A few other more grounded claims as well as though. I've had a little email convo with them imploring them not to be spineless jellyfish and ban out of fear, but I don't think they're going to change their policy.

    I used to go to goodlife melville (or Zest as it was called at the time). Frequently found myself waiting to use the machines. Too many people, not enough equipment. Don't know about the rec centre. I'm currently a member at Fitness First Myaree. Won a discount membership there.

    ok lets see if i qualify for the fitness mega thread to start with definitly not at 198 cm and 195 kg big fatty boombah

    after took 18 months and a shit load of time at the gym down to 120kg still fat but better

    so whats the consensus worthy try or still just fat ?

    Okay, so Jetts surprisingly had enough free weights as olympic plates... but have a no olympic bar policy due to being unstaffed a lot of the time . Almost but not quite.

    Anyone got any comment on Goodlife and/or Fitness First for olympic bar for deadlift and squat?

    FF sucks for Oly lifting.

    I do all mine at Southerns ATM.

    On another note ... so I have been/was/still a little sick for about 16 weeks and so between not training and having to eat like a horse because of the chemical warfare being waged against the germs ... I put on 13kg.

    Over the last 5 weeks I started dieting down again so I can pick up training and still be in reasonable condition for summer. Ive managed to drop 12kg .. just 1 to go so thats not a bad result ... now all I have to do is get some of my strength and muscle back

    Anyone know a good amino and Glutamine brand?


    I cant be fucked paying stupid prices. I have recently found a new Creatine which costs about $50 per tub 500gm I think but each serve is only half a teaspoon. I was just about to buy a different one for $40 until I realised it only has 19 serves. Fuckers try to get you with a big tub and cheap price but its full of sugar.

    yeah thats my girl i must have been a frightening thought for her when i said giveus a cuddle and at my previous weight it didnt happen to often
    so life has definitly improved in many ways
