Surely not. REBA is the board that is da police of real estate agents. Handles licensing, disputes, etc. Dont quite see how this would be the case but if its tru, then all good.

The scheme provides a grant of up to $2,000 for the incidental expenses of first home buyers when they purchase an established or partially built home through a licensed real estate agent. On 22 September 2006, the maximum purchase price criteria for the HBAF was increased to $400,000 in response to the rising costs of housing in Western Australia.

I guess $2,000 by $400,000+ is like 0.5%+/- but then again ever ¢ counts when you need it.

There ya go, didnt know that.
"The scheme is funded from interest paid on real estate agents' trust accounts. The grant can be used for - registration fees, solicitor and/or conveyancing fees, valuation fees, inspection fees, establishment fees, mortgage insurance premiums and lending institution fees associated with lodging the application."

Yes that's right. So it will help some people out. I know people who don't have a big enuff deposit will be hit with mortgage insurance so it should cover that at at least.
Yeah - I knew about this.... but I didnt qualify as
1) the finance wasnt through an authorised/approved lender and
2) Sale wasnt through a licenced realestate agent.
I love 2) as the agents fees would have been more than the rebate!![]()
Yeah.. I heard about this.. sadly when we bought we were over the limit, but we were under the new limit and missed out by only a month or two.
Stupid crappers.
I'm pretty sure the fidelity fund (where trust account interest goes) is for the use of landlords to be reimbursed if the agent does a dogdy. There ya go, didnt know that.

It also off sets court costs when applying to court to evitct a tenant or disbuse their bond after abandoning

Yup, if trust fund money is misappropriated etc.
