    Resident Evil 5`

    Wonderful Game!!

rented it out over the weekend.

    its fantastic!

Doesnt have the fucked up "multiple angle control" like the original (which shat me to tears).

Graphics are fantastic, lighting, textures, shadows, smoke, they've almost got water ripples reflection spot on!

The cut scenes are well done, the game plays like a movie, and even has flash backs to the previous game.

do yourself a favour, rent it out.

I played the demo, though wasn't impressed with the whole not moving while shooting. How did you find that in the actual game

I was pissed at the control scheme in the demo, five or ten minutes into the game I'd kinda forgotten about it. It's a survival-horror game, not an action game, although it does stray awfully close to full-on action territory.

If you enjoyed RE5, you owe it to yourself to try RE4 as well. It had a far superior inventory system and on the Wii the controls are just superb.

Id only ever played the first 3 resident evils so I was very aprehensive renting this out. If it was the same Varying angle control, I probably would ahve returned it.

yes, being stationary to shoot is a little annoying but i dont think it deters from the gaming experience, and the aiming sensitivity is slow (though im sure you could adjust this in the control settings). Ive found that the shot-gun is best to counter this. when the zombies are running towards you, the blast radius is perfect to clear out enemies directly infront of you.

shooting and not moving is a really good in game mechanic, forces you to constantly re think whether staying and fighting is a good idea or if you should move and try and reposition.

Game is RUBBISH on your own, but awesome fun 2 player co-op.

Just finished the game with my bro last night. Now we're just going arouind collecting stuff and upgrading the weapons.

A bit disappointed with the game though, the franchise moved so far from the survival horror genre. Went from a survival horror to another action game within 10 minutes of playing. Not putting it down or anything, I love the co-op action, and the game is long enough compared to Army of Two, but I was expecting the heebie jeebies like I'd get from the first two in the series.

It's a bit linear and gets a bit repetitive after a while, if they didn't put in the upgrades and bonuses I'd probably get bored after the first game, but I'm still playing it. And oh, the button mashing cut scenes are just stupid imho. When the cut scenes are playing I want to watch it, not having to focus right in the middle of the screen, lest I die by being crushed by monsters.

So yeah, if they'd use the ambience from the first two it would've been much much better.

I just started playing RE4. It's great apart from the fact it's starting to become more action, Having to kill 20 guys each screen gets kinda annoying. Sad to see RE5 is even more of an action game
