RTS games
Hey guise,
I'm really getting into my RTS games, but am finding C&C a bit of a bore, any other suggestions?
I'd love to find a decent WWII RTS game.

Company of Heroes.
Non-WWII best bet is Supreme Commander and Dawn of War.
EDIT: In fact, I have a legit copy of CoH you can have, for nothing. I don't think its even been out of the box.

are we talking PS2 or PC. RTS games on PS are ok but 10X better on a PC.
Starcraft is an oldie but a goodie. Futuristic though.
C&C
Warcraft
Age of Empires is a very early one. Takes too long to get in to a fight if you ask me.
Company of hero's is meant to be the best WWII RTS at the moment.
Company of hero's opposing fronts. This is an expansion of the above but you do not need the original to make it work.
EDIT: Don't know what this is like but found some info on it.
Blitzkrieg II - expands and enhances the game play and graphics found in the original Blitzkrieg. Plan your operations and then lead troops into battle as either the Soviets, Americans ro Germans. With three single player campaigns that cover all theaters of war and hundreds of unit's there's plenty of room for replayability. Blitzkrieg II has two expansion packs available;Blitzkrieg II: Liberation and Blitzkrieg II: Fall of the Reich.

i was playing generals last night, love that game.
total annihilation - kingdoms was always good but its old school
empire earth 1 and 2 < does go through WW2 while researching
black and white 2. not really RTS but worth a play, great AI.The past is a gaping hole. You try to run from it, but the more you run, the deeper, more terrible it grows behind you, its edges yawning at your heels. Your only chance is to turn around and face it. But it's like looking down into the grave of your love, or kissing the mouth of a gun, a bullet trembling in its dark nest, ready to blow your head off.

I enjoyed "Rise of Legends". Turn based RTS i guess you would call it, same as DoW. Sucked when you'd lose territories and have to replay them, but the story was quite good.

Dawn of War is one of my faves.
Starcraft is still great if you can handle the dated graphics.
Sins of a Solar Empire if you've got lots of spare time and like pretty spaceships.

Hit up the Blizzard ones (Starcraft, oldie and a goodie and will run on a lowly G4 if need be heh) and Warcraft 3. Both come in Mac native...
Supreme Commander will require good hardware (its pretty sweet). Or give the older Total Annihilation a whirl (easy to locate on the internet also
)

What's RTS. I keep thinking Return To Sender. But that can't be right.

imo spring is awesome. great lan or net game and the AI is not bad either.
Heaps of mods available, including a WW2 1944 version.
The good and the bad is that its open source. Great cause its free but frustrating in that it's hard to install, and can be buggy sometimes.

Age of Mythology (almost went to korea to play this at the WCG haha)
C&C the original, or the original red alert.
Dawn of War is the bomb.
Warcraft 3 is fun and has a good storylineThis is my signature.

Nobody has mentioned Lemmings yet. There's strategy required in that ol' favourite!
