iMac G5, old school (kinda) :p
None of this intel stuff here unfortunately... But hopefully a new Macbook Pro next year
Leopard has loads of little goodies to keep you entertained.. They finally updated Front Row! Not that I ever used it anyway, but that because it was slow, buggy and generally crap.
Time machine, good idea... Spaces are great (beats using 3rd party software like I had to in Tiger) and all of the apps I use work fine.

Nice, doing my backup as we speak so I'm ready for a clean install when my disc comes.

Backup, good idea.
Some people are having issues with their install if they have haxies and other such stuff that play with the OS in funny ways.
Apple discussion forum
Its a long thread, but it could save you some angst.

I've never done an upgrade and probably never intend to. Even back when I used to use XP, whenever a service pack would come out, I would create my own slipstreamed XP disc and install from scratch.
I find it a lot more stable and smoother running if OS's are installed from scratch.
