    Tax Q for FIFO peeps

I know businesses can claim travel between house and airport or city to city to fly out to the job but has any individual tried to claim it on their tax?

Ie, someone lives in Adelaide, has a FIFO job from Perth, can that flight to get to Perth be claimed and how?
Similarly with costs involved with getting from home to airport and back again or is it always seen as the same as from your home in Perth to the factory in Perth.

Long shot I know but has anyone successfully claimed for this travel, if so how was it done, set up under, passed off as??? etc. etc.

    Cal
I live in my own little world, but it's OK they know me here

Only if your employment contract recognizes that you are employed ex Dreary Town (Adelaide). Most employment contracts are ex Perth....and how you get to the airport is your problem and not usually a claimable item.
