Where to go for V8 Diesel help

Posting on behalf of a colleague who is having trouble with his 6.5l Chev Diesel.

He has it installed in a Patrol. It's normally aspirated, but is currently down on power & torque by about 20% from what the charts say it should be getting. He uses the rig to tow a fairly large caravan and just wants to take it somewhere where they can tweak and tune it back into resonable figures. So far the places he has asked are United Fuel Injection and Freo Fuel Injection, but neither are interested in even looking at it. He's not after some race engine once it's all completed, just wants to get the power and torque back to what it should be so he can pull the caravan at speeds greater than walking pace

So to the collective knowledge of PSB (cos PSB knows everything), does anyone know of a place he could go to for some help?

If he has the time/inclination to take it that far, brunswick diesels are specialists at these conversions. But they're in brunswick junction.

why did united's not want a look at it ?

can try Chev Power in maddington not sure if hes still around 94597811

if you got plenty of cash to burn go see brunswick its probably one of there recon seconhandys anyway.

Yeah, he lives down that way, so he's considered Brunswick as it is one of their conversions, but apparently they don't have a dyno. I'll tell him to go have a chat with them as I'm sure they'll be able to tell if anything is obviously wrong. And thanks also for the Chev Power contact. I'll pass the knowledge on.

Bunbury fuel injection have dyno and experience and are only 20km further on from Brunswick.

Don't expect them to be cheap, but they can get the job done.
