    Woolworths - Shopping online experience

Ordered for the first time as missus can't walk due to sciatic nerve issues caused by the pregnancy and me too busy to get to shops.

First delivery was missing a butterfly lamb steak $18, 3 eggs in a dozen where broken, 2 different meat items were undercharged (our gain) and a roast was the wrong one altogether.

Rang up got it sorted. Next delivery is 4 days later. Tonight we only got a dozen eggs. Nothing else.

Now the items are out of stock and a refund will be processed but won't hit the statement for 5 days.

Now I need to get to the shops to get dinner!

Anyone care to add their experiences? Hoping this is just a twice off bad experience that will never be repeated.

Oh and it was from Woolworths Stirling...
    Its all good.

Pretty much matches our experience.. i.e BAD!

First order, the packers laid down the milk.. it leaked thru about 80% of our shopping.. so not only do you have the task of going thru everything to see if you got what you ordered, but I had to clean milk off it all.. complained, got free delivery for next..

Next order.. despite saying no substitutions, we got 3 or 4 things different that we did not want.. stupid things like cartoon of lemon squash instead of lemonade.. (midori does not go well with lemon squash!!).. again wife blasted and they did not do much at all except again offer free delivery..

    We have not bothered since.

(having said that.. we seem to be the minority.. some of my wifes friends swear by it and not had a problem in 12 months..

Don't have any issues with any of the people that I use, there's a few threads in here about online shopping, worth a read to find out what ones are best.

I always have NO SUBSTITUTES, very rarely do I not get what I want. Last time it was only the dogs that missed out

Ive only used coles for my shopping, never had a problem and most times I received extra products with little notes attached saying it was a gift to try

sounds like you might want to try them instead!

We have used both Coles and Woolworths online service and they are pretty much on par with each other. The biggest complaint would be the substitutions, whom-ever does the substituting should have a little more reasoning than the person currently doing it.

Woolworths Canning Vale have been perfect when we've used them, except for one driver who managed to get himself lost, called missus and got stroppy (and got told off by her), but was EVER so polite when I answered the door

Mine are generally ok. I did rip into them for the fucking unpackers using box cutters to open boxes full of icypoles (despite the boxes stating do not cut). Then finding leaked goo everywhere, hasn't happened for a while, but that can still occur in the store.

a couple of years ago i was mad keen to give it a go, but then the rules changed and the supermarkets started staying open until 9pm - which is late enough for me to get there. So I never bothered following up on the online ordering thing. The thing i was apprehensive about was not being able to check out the vegetables and fruit and pick the ones i liked the look of. Theres just no way to select a good avocado without picking it up and giving it a gentle squeeze.

I'm glad you reminded me - I've just placed my first online order with Woolies, despite your less than average wrap

I'll let you know how it goes. I also selected a delivery time that saves me $2 - not that i'm worried about the cash, but they must have a reason for offering a cheaper price and I hope that reason is there not that busy - maybe better service?

Edit: And you can order beer! Awesome!
