Long Answer: As shoes winner you get to wear the shoes avatar till next nominations period.
Perhaps if you make an nice animated gif with your crashs in it and the clown shoes integrated across it as well they might let you have both.

I can't say I paid too much attention... But I swear the shoes used to be a picture like a title underneath the avatar like semi said.
