blogs - maximum of 8 images embedded?

I've just run into this limitation. Is it possible to increase this at all? Or is it there for a good reason?

i kinda understand why, i dunno if you noticed but psb actually hosts the pictures itself now to prevent hotlink goatse'ing. you link it a picture, and psb actually downloads that pic, hosts it itself, and then changes the [img] tags appropriately.

they don't make you only put 8 pics per post normally though, so i'm guessing that was the original setting, and blogs have been overlooked or summat.
